The Jolie-Pitt Foundation

N/a'ankusé bliver, på grund af deres gode arbejde, støttet af mange. Blandt andre af skuespillerparret Angelia Jolie og Brad Pitt.

Her er et kort indlæg fra N/a'ankusé omkring det karismatiske par:

In December 2010 Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie pledged a generous grant to N/a’an ku sê through their Jolie-Pitt Foundation. Through their foundation, Brad and Angelina are loyal supporters of N/a’an ku sê and share our commitment to conserving the land, cultures and wildlife of Namibia and believe passionately in what we are trying to achieve. The Jolie-Pitt Foundation chose N/a’an ku sê in honour of their Namibian born daughter Shiloh.

Angelina Jolie says;

 We have known Rudie and Marlice for many years and continue to be impressed by their hard work and dedication to the people and conservation of the land and wildlife of Namibia.

The new section of the project will be under N/a’an ku sê and in Shiloh's name. We want her to be very involved and grow up with the understanding of her country of birth.

Angelina Jolie visit 2015
In June 2015, Angelina Jolie Pitt visited N/a’an ku sê Wildlife Sanctuary to witness the results of the Jolie Pitt Foundation’s partnership with the sanctuary and to discuss conservation in Namibia. N/a’an ku sê rescues threatened wildlife, carries out research to prevent human-wildlife conflict and provides education and healthcare to the San Bushman community.

Our History
Angelina Jolie first became involved with N/a’an ku sê after working with Marlice on a film shoot in 2003. They formed a strong friendship and Angelina has since visited N/a’an ku sê several times, together with her partner Brad Pitt and their six children. They take an active interest and involvement in our projects, feeding the animals in our sanctuary and meeting the San Bushman community here.

Our Collaboration
The Jolie-Pitt Foundation will help N/a’an ku sê support long term projects focussing on conservation for carnivores and Wild Dogs and supporting vulnerable people in Namibia. Our vision for the new projects is to grow them into something that Shiloh can be part of, an internationally recognizable Foundation that is sustainable in the long term and stays true to its mission of doing good, regardless.

The Jolie-Pitt Foundation
Through the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, formed in 2006, the couple has donated to many causes including Global Action for Children and Doctors without Borders. The couple also contribute to projects across the world in honour of their children including the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation in Cambodia which works with rural villagers and local governments to increase access to healthcare and education and alleviate food insecurities.

We are proud and honoured that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have chosen N/a’an ku sê as their Namibian grantee and look forward to a bright future together improving the lives of the San Bushman community and protecting Namibia's vulnerable wildlife.
